I love our city of Des Moines. Plain and simple, I think it’s the best place ever.

One of my favorite things in the summer/fall is all of the farmer’s markets that happen all over our great city. Unfortunately I don’t work downtown and have a work event today, but this Mediacom product launch sounds pretty sweet!

Mediacom will formally launch its home controller product at Wednesday’s Downtown Farmers’ Market. This product gives customers the power to control and secure their home from virtually anywhere, and includes emergency response, security, real-time video access and customized alerts and monitoring.

Des Moines is the first to receive Mediacom’s home controller product before it becomes available nationwide in 2014 (this is pretty cool!). This innovative product is the result of Mediacom’s investment in award-winning software and a broadband network that delivers maximum power and control to Iowa consumers.

You are invited to visit the Mediacom area at the Downtown Farmers’ Market on Wednesday to test-drive this smart-technology product and see how its touch screen control customizes settings and integrates monitoring. Elected officials, technology executives and local customers will be on hand for the first-ever public demonstration of Mediacom’s home controller.  This is the newest digital product brought to market to harness the capabilities of Iowa’s most advanced fiber communications network.
