Whoa. It’s been way too long since I have posted! The weeks just seem to fly by…
Anyway, this weekend was completely loaded. That’s the best word to describe it. A baby shower and a work day for my Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute class project. Could I pack more in?!
My friend Ashley loves owls, so we went with an adorable owl theme for the baby shower and made a lot of things ourselves! My friend, Nicole, who co-hosted with me, has a friend who is incredibly talented, and she made the special treats for the shower! They were seriously amazing.
We played a lot of fun games and showered Ashley with gifts. Can’t wait to meet her boy or girl (it’s a surprise) in February!

Saturday afternoon I actually took some time to relax (for once). It was much needed after a crazy busy week!
While running some errands at night I stopped by the Nike Factory Store and I got two pairs of shoes, as I was desperately in need of new running shoes. The gray ones were only $22 and the other ones were only $37. What a steal! If you need some new kicks, it’s definitely the place to shop!
This afternoon I finished out my loaded weekend with a work day with my GDMLI class where I spent the afternoon removing wallpaper. I was definitely reminded why I don’t have wallpaper in my house! Luckily we had a steamer to use, so it came off fairly easily.

And in case you aren’t aware, our class project is renovating a new facility for Amanda the Panda, an amazing organization that helps grieving children and adults after experiencing a loss. If you want to learn more about Project Panda, check out our website!
Now it’s time to finish a few things and get a workout in before the weekend is over!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
