{Easy Holiday Treats}

It’s the time of year where you need that special little something to bring to your company Christmas party, white elephant gift exchange or family celebration.

My mom always made the best treats when we were growing up, so I must share two of my favorite recipes of hers. And they are so easy to make!

Caramel Puffcorn

1 Package Old Dutch Puffcorn or generic brand Puffcorn
1 cup butter (not margarine)
1 ¼ cups brown sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 Tsp baking soda

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Combine butter, brown sugar and light corn syrup in a 2 quart sauce pan, cook on medium heat until mixture has melted. Once mixture has melted add the baking soda (this will cause the mixture to foam).

Pour Puffcorn into a large roaster pan. Pour caramel mixture over the Puffcorn and stir until mixed.

Place in over at 250 degrees for 45 minutes, stirring at least every 15 minutes.

Remove from oven, pour on wax paper and break apart. Let cool and enjoy!

And my second favorite recipe is even easier.

Holiday Chocolate Rounds

1 bag of round pretzels
1 bag of Christmas M&Ms
1 bags Hershey’s Hugs

Place round pretzels on wax paper on a cookie sheet. Put a Hershey’s Hug in the center of each pretzel.

Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Bake for 4-6 minutes until Hugs are melted in the middle.

Remove from oven and immediately place a M&M in the middle of each one.

Place in the refrigerator to harden and serve.

What are your favorite holiday treats? I am always looking for new recipes to try!

Enjoy your holiday baking!

xoxo,
Angela
