{A Whirlwind of a Week}

This past week was crazy. There is no better word to describe it. I felt like I was pulled in a million different directions with personal life, work and AMA Iowa events. Whew — I am glad I made it through!

The week was started off with a fantastic Pizza & Prospecting event with some of my favorites from the AMA Iowa board. Tuesday was spent doing a Zumba class with my bestie Ashley Danielson at Goals in Motion (I am obsessed with these classes!) and Wednesday was volleyball game night with my team Girls Night Out. Thursday was spent in Omaha for a client meeting with my boss all day, and after our meeting we hustled back to Des Moines for our 3rd Annual AMA Iowa Agency Crawl! I was so tired and exhausted at this point in the week, that I didn’t even take any photos. If you know me at all, you know this is so not like me. Luckily Ashley snapped a quick pic, so I at least remember the event! And it was such a great event where we toured Spindustry Digital and J. Sayles Design Co. I never complain about having an excuse to see so many fun marketing professionals in Des Moines!

Some lovely friends!

After a long week, I put on my party shoes Friday night to celebrate my dear friend Melanie Braden, who is getting married to her sweetie next weekend in Des Moines! We started off the night at Lucca, a fantastic restaurant in the East Village. If you haven’t been, you have to check it out! I had the squash risotto as my primi (yum, yum) and the sirloin for my secondi. Delish!

After dinner we headed to the new bar The Rooftop in the East Village. It was the perfect place to be on Friday night, as there was hardly anyone there! It was also a gorgeous fall night, which made it perfect to sit outside.

Me and the lovely bachelorette!

It was a great night celebrating Melanie and spending time with her sisters and closest friends. Now I can’t wait for this coming Friday night to celebrate her tying the knot with Phil!

Off to bed. It’s been a loooong week and this girl needs some sleep!
